On May 25, America watched in horror as a police officer murdered an unarmed Black man named George Floyd in Minneapolis. The chilling recording went viral and the country quickly erupted in a public outcry for justice. It wasn’t long before Floyd’s death sparked protests calling for police reform and the end of systemic racism throughout the country, and eventually around the world.

Almost a month has passed since George Floyd’s murder, and as we mourn Floyd and other victims of police brutality, we must continue to reflect on how we can all do our part to create the change in the world we wish to see, no matter our race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or class.

Here at Sendoso, we know how powerful the act of giving can be. Charitable giving is a way to bring people together around a common cause and make a difference, and our Sending Platform empowers Sendoso customers to give everything from personal gifts to direct mail experiences to eGift cards with funds that can be donated to Charity Choice. Recipients of Sendoso Charity Choice eGift cards may select from hundreds of nationally recognized charity organizations, or search for local charities that could benefit from their support.

Right now, Charity Choice partners include organizations supporting the Black Lives Matter movement like the NAACP—providing the opportunity to contribute to an important cause and create new, meaningful human connections one send at a time.

During times like these, it can be challenging to hold a “business as usual” mentality. Our company fully supports the Black Lives Matter movement, and would like to give you the opportunity to donate to an organization fighting for justice and equality for all.

If you are looking for inspiration and in a position to give, here is an excellent list of organizations to choose from:

Victim Memorial Funds

The murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, David McAtee, Tony McDade, and countless others serve as grim reminders that we cannot be satisfied until Black lives are no longer subject to the unspeakable horrors of police brutality. Donations to the below funds will go toward supporting the families of the victims:
